Hurco WinMax
Conversational and NC programming for Hurco machining centers.
Control cabinets contain hazardous energy. Electrical diagnosis and repair belong to qualified personnel using required energy-control procedures.
Start with the part, not the brochure
Define the largest and smallest parts, materials, tolerance, finish, annual quantity, setup frequency and inspection method. A machine that looks impressive may be a poor fit if it creates excessive setup time, cannot hold the needed tooling, or lacks local support.
Verify the complete system
The useful machine is the machine plus control, options, workholding, tooling, coolant or extraction, metrology, software, postprocessor, training, power, air and service. Missing pieces can cost more than the apparent discount.
Document before committing
Record the exact model, serial number, control version, option list, spindle and taper, axis travels, table or chuck capacity, electrical requirements, machine weight, included tooling and known defects. Save listing photographs and seller statements.
Exact generation matters
Hurco WinMax features, memory, communications, cycles and service needs vary by model and software generation. Record the complete control designation and version rather than relying on the brand name alone.
Backups and parameters
Confirm that parameter, macro, offset, program and machine-builder files can be backed up and restored. On older equipment, recovery documentation can materially affect value.
Service ecosystem
Investigate local technicians, replacement displays, drives, boards, storage media and manufacturer support before buying a machine with an aging control.
Compare complete descriptions, photographs, included tooling, freight terms, control condition, and seller history. A listing title is not an inspection report.
